How can you help office cleaners?

My office desk is usually a complete mess and I don’t know how it gets that way. In the morning it seems to be fine, however when five o’clock rolls around I can’t see my keyboard. I stopped to think the other day about the office cleaners who come in everyday and tried to wipe down my desk and thought it would almost be an impossible task for them. When cleaning an office there is so much to do that if objects and tasks were organized a little bit more before hand, it would take away some of the hassle. If you want your desks wiped down and cleaned properly by the office cleaners then it would be a good idea to make sure they have space to do so. If there are documents and folders everywhere then the cleaners will not have a space to clean and you would be left with a messy desk. It would not take that long at the end of the day to stack some files and put the papers on your desk aside or in draws so you can come back to a clean desk in the morning. Also, if you have anything that you want to be thrown away the put a note on the pile to be discarded so the cleaners know what to throw away and what to keep. The same goes for anything big around the office that is to be thrown away, make sure it is labeled correctly so there is no confusion.

Office cleaners come in everyday and clean up after us and the least we could do is make sure that little things are organized so they can do their jobs properly. Clear desks and notes on what is to be thrown out can help the cleaners greatly and ensure that you get a clean and healthier workspace.
